2. Purpose of the Platform

SciLit is a free e-learning platform designed to develop critical thinking skills, media literacy, and awareness of human rights. The platform is accessible to anyone aged 16 and over.

3. Intellectual Property

Original content on SciLit (modules, texts, illustrations, animations) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), unless otherwise stated. Third-party content is used under fair use or with permission.

4. User Accounts

Registration is free and optional. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to not share your credentials. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

5. User-Generated Content

Users may post discussions and comments. Content that is illegal, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate will be moderated. By posting, you grant SciLit a non-exclusive right to display your content on the platform.

6. Community Guidelines

  • No hate speech, harassment, or discrimination

7. Limitation of Liability

SciLit is provided 'as is' for educational purposes. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all content is error-free. The platform is not a substitute for professional advice.

8. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of France.
